Cardiff City in Search for New Wing Backs as Ex-Bristol City Defender is on Bluebird's Radar.

Cardiff City has a number of signings to make ahead of their Championship campaign to fill the voids left by Joe Bennet, Junior Hoilet, and club legend Sol Bamba.

The Wales capital side has failed to climb back to the Premier League after failing to keep hold of major players and poor displays in the league. And now with Joe Bennet and Hoilet —two key players without a contract, the club is looking to replace them with recruiting players with lower wage demands.

Manager Mick McCarthy brought significant improvement in the team performance after his appointment as the manager of the team in the mid-season last campaign. Mick Mccarthy emphasized a three-man defense at times and played Curtis Nelson and Aiden Flint on regular intervals alongside captain Sean Morrison.

With Joe Bennet's contract expired, and Joel Bagan out due to a shoulder injury, the team is in dire need of a signing to play in the left-back position. That is to say, if Bennet decides to sign a new contract with the Bluebirds after a disagreement between Cardiff and the player about a new contract agreement, the left-back will be unable to feature for Cardiff anytime soon as the player suffered from an ACL injury back in March and is likely to stay out of the game until October.

Luckily for Cardiff, they have managed to secure the loan signing of Ryan Giles from Wolves to compensate for Bennett's absence. The player will challenge Joel Bagan for that left-wing-back role favored by McCarthy.

Cardiff are reported to be interested in ex-Bristol City Defender Jack Hunt. The defender is under the radar of a few Championship clubs alongside Cardiff this summer after being released by Bristol City earlier.

Hunt made 37 appearances in the Championship last season and the 30-year-old right-back has a lot to offer to the frail right-back position of the club which lacks depth with only one available player in the squad.

Cardiff City also wants to extend the stay of Harry Wilson for another season, even though the Welsh attacking midfielder is up for sale from Liverpool and is looking for a move to a Premier League side.
