Fulham Striker Looking For A Move To Fenerbahce Following A Failed Campaign In The Premier League.

The Serbian Forward has over a hundred Premier League appearances under his belt but a poor run of form in front of the goals and intermittent featuring in the starting XI last season has left Serbia's all-time record scorers out of favor with manager Scott Parker.

The physical striker was left on the bench for most of the season as Mitrovic saw winger Ivan Cavaleiro and Bordeaux loanee Josh Maja preferred over him to lead Fulham's attacking line.

Aleksander Mitrovic is linked to Turkish outfit Fenerbahce as the Serbian Forward fell out of favor with Fulham following the relegation from the Premier League.

Following a stunning season in the Championship in 2019/20, where he scored 26 goals in 40 appearances, 4 goals in 22 matches in the next season was more than underwhelming for a player of his caliber.

Fulham struggled to find the back of the net in the Premier League last season, netting only 27 in a total of which, only 9 came out in Craven Cottage — A Premier League record low before succumbing to relegation with 3 matches remaining.

Fulham announced their departure with manager Scott Parker on June 28 after a failed campaign which led the fans to be optimistic about the chance of Mitrovic staying in the team for the near future. But maybe it is too late to change the ace's mind as he is looking to push a move from the southwest London club.

The newly appointed manager Marco Silva was expected to keep Mitrovic in the center of his plans as the manager admitted to being a 'fan' of the Fulham ace.

Mitrovic was linked with the Russian side Dynamo Moscow around June as Fulham rejected a £16m bid from them. Trailing the event to July, the forward is nearing a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce.

Back in the Championship, the forward can offer you 20+ goals a season which should be enough to secure promotion to the Premier League given Mitrovic's impressive record of scoring 42 goals on 82 occasions. But the striker struggled to be prolific up in the Premier League where he only managed to find the back of the net only 24 times with over 100 appearances.

Patrick Bamford, another forward who was criticized to be fruitless in the top tier of English football has proved all pundits wrong with his 17 goals last season despite having an inferior ratio of goals per match in the Championship in comparison to Mitrovic.

Fenerbahce is the growing favorite to secure a Mitrovic deal this summer as the club is looking to strengthen their European presence with Mesut Ozil and Seid Kolasinac already in their arsenal.

So far. Fenerbahce is planning on signing the player in a loan deal with a future option to buy.
