Leicester Signs New Left Back Ahead of Their Premier League 2021/22 Campaign

Leicester City has agreed on a 3-year deal to sign free agent Ryan Bertrand until 2024.

Ryan Bertrand has joined Leicester City on a free transfer on a 3 year contracts which will see him play in King Power Stadium until 2024

The departure of Cristian Fuchs following the expiration of the left-back's contract has left a hole in that position for the Foxes, and the club was in an extensive search to fill that gap.

Following the addition of Patson Daka and Boubakary Soumare, Leicester made sure to announce their ambition for a Champions League spot in the table. But fans were still left drowned with questions about the lack of news on the new left-back.

After lots of speculations about who to sign to fill the recurring vacancy in the left-back position, the club finally settled in to sign former Southampton left-back Ryan Bertrand.

Ryan Bertrand joined Southampton from Chelsea for £13.30m in 2015 and has played for the Saints since then. The experienced left-back has featured on 258 occasions in the Premier League and has 19 assists in total.

No further transfer arrivals are expected from Leicester city as the Foxes signed three different players in different positions.

On the other hand, James Maddison is on the radars of Arsenal as the north London club wants the Leicester star this summer and a reported £60m was demanded for the attacking midfielder by Leicester.
