Varane Closing in Towards Manchester United and Bryan Gil to Tottenham in a Transfer Swap.

Manchester United has come up with an agreement with Real Madrid center-back Raphael Varane to join the Red Devils this summer while Tottenham Hotspurs completed the transfer switch of Erik Lamela in exchange for Bryan Gil from Sevilla.

Real Madrid Defender Raphael Varane closer to joining Manchester United in a permanent move from Real Madrid in the summer.

The rumors surrounding the French center-back have been ever-existent since the start of the summer transfer and gained more traction as the Euro 2020 went on. Varane has been one of the key figures of the Real Madrid side that won three Champions League and had a fantastic campaign with his national team France, winning the World Cup in 2018.

Varane has returned to the pre-season training with Real Madrid while reporting that his representatives have been in talks with Manchester United to finalize a permanent move to the English club.

It is believed that Varane is keen to leave Madrid for the Manchester club who ended up as the runner-up of the Premier League campaign last season. The defender had a disappointing outing last season with a trophyless campaign.

Manchester United are willing to improve their defensive game with the signing of the French defender which will let the fans witness the potential partnership of Harry Maguire alongside Raphael Varane in the backline of United.

On the other hand, Tottenham Hotspurs have completed the signing of Bryan Gil from Sevilla in an exchange deal involving attacker Erik Lamela.

The Argentine attacker had been overlooked by his former club and country in the last few years, and a move to the Spanish side Sevilla might rekindle his old form in the late stages of his career.

20-year-old Gil, however, is full of life in him, with the Spanish International making his debut in March, and currently in the Olympic squad.  The winger has committed himself to the club in a five-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The young winger appeared on 14 occasions for Sevilla last season, coming off from the bench in all of them.
